Daily Prayers for August 29th, 2022

Prayer of Adoration:

            O’ Dearest Lord God, how comforting it is to know that you are a good shepherded. For when we are prone to wonder like sheep in a vast field you come and collect us. When we go missing you are there to find us. When we hear your voice, we respond with hearts of joy and longing. For you are like a safe home for us. You lead us to fields that are good and water nourishing. Even when the path there is filled with danger you keep us safe. How wonderful are you to consider us worth looking after. With all our thanks and praise we say, Amen. 


Prayer of Confession:

            Wonderful God, how far do we wonder when we try to flee before your presents. How dark of a place to we try to hide our sin and shame from your sight. We act as wolfs among your sheep, for the sake of our pride. We may be stubborn to follow when you give us opportunities to answer your call. If left to our own will there would be nothing, but dirt left where some grass or root should be. For we consume what is easy, familiar, and comfortable to us. We would leave the land baren if you left us. Yet you do not leave us. You encourage us to move even then and we don’t like it, for we do not understand it. Even when we do understand we do not act any better for we still want what we know even when it is lost to us. Help us O’ good shepherd to see that our life, our needs, our love in life comes from you. Help us to hear your voice and come. Help us learn to meet chance as a part of your plan. Help us to not asked as wolfs to your sheep. Let us truly come to know you as you are to us and restore us we pray . Amen.

Prayer of Illumination: Lord God of Compassion, We seek you and the abondance of your wisdom. We find comfort in your message of love the goes beyond time. A message for all generations. We come before you to find your grace in hard time. To learn from lessons old of your people and to find comfort in the peace you offer us now. That we all be enabled to learn and grow closer as a community of faith. This we pray in your dear name. Amen.   Prayer of Thanksgiving: Lord God of Assurance, We are thankful for your grace during every season. We see the beauty of your flowery spring, the warmth of your summer, the plentiful harvest in the fall, and the rest of winter. So to do we give you thanks for the comfort you offer each one of us in every season of our lives. From the gift of new life and new opportunities, to the lose we feel. We give you thanks for the good you do and the mercy you give to us out of love. May we continue to share that love with one another. Amen.

Prayer of Thanksgiving:             God who welcomes us home, you care for us with hands wide open every day. You ensure that we have what we need. When we lack anything you send your people to help ensure that your love and care is always being provided.
