Daily Prayers for August 23rd, 2022

Prayer of Adoration:

Lord God, you are the way the truth and the life. Wherever our lives take us Lord you are already there ready to welcome us. When we need to leave the comfort of home and familiarity You are the first to assures that we will be alright as we look behind. As we move to and frow in our daily lives, Lord, there you are beside us. That we are never truly alone and without comfort of good company. Continue to be with us as we stand together as family and when we are called in our different walks of life to see your Kingdom come. This we pray in your Christ’s holy name. Amen. 

 

Prayer of Confession:

            Almighty God, the mountains become leveled as plans by the sound of your voice. The seas still and will not move until such a word passes your lips. The world turns from day to night and with-it new days are born. Yet we are a people reluctant to move by your word in our world today. We are content with the rhythm of life and when it gets turned around by your will, we become unhappy, hot-headed, cold-hearted, in deferent, and some time manipulative with you. Sometimes you tell us to move and do your good, but we would rather stay in the places we know. Sometimes we tell you that we want to move when you are calling us to stay and work out what we may be trying to run away from. We fail to see the renewal and reforming gift you have to offer when the time for change is needed. Whether it be far or close to home. Forgive us in our lacking will to seek your call for the opportunities to be transformed in our daily lives. Continue to work with us and show us your love. This we pray in your wonderful name. Amen.

Prayer of Illumination: Lord God of Compassion, We seek you and the abondance of your wisdom. We find comfort in your message of love the goes beyond time. A message for all generations. We come before you to find your grace in hard time. To learn from lessons old of your people and to find comfort in the peace you offer us now. That we all be enabled to learn and grow closer as a community of faith. This we pray in your dear name. Amen.   Prayer of Thanksgiving: Lord God of Assurance, We are thankful for your grace during every season. We see the beauty of your flowery spring, the warmth of your summer, the plentiful harvest in the fall, and the rest of winter. So to do we give you thanks for the comfort you offer each one of us in every season of our lives. From the gift of new life and new opportunities, to the lose we feel.
