Daily Prayers for August 18th, 2022

Prayer of Illumination:

O’ Lord the darkness cannot hide the light of your truth nor the depth of your love. You call us out of the darkness we may find ourselves in the light of your truth that we might know and come to rejoice. That the light that you shine may be reflected in our lives, we pray for your illuminating word to be spoken anew to us again. That we might see more for what we missed and to remember the reasons you encourage us to shine today with your light. This we pray in your name. Amen. 


Prayer of Thanksgiving: 

Merciful God, even in the dark of night you light up our sky with stars. Even those that barrow light like the moon is enabled to shine and make a difference in the seasons you created that all of creation might grow and be transformed. With such tides in our lives as this that grants us the opportunity to how you provide for us we give you our thanks with our whole hearts. We are moved by your spirit to give that which we cannot our of obligation but out of the generosity you show us my we show others your love. This we pray Amen.

Prayer of Illumination: Lord God of Compassion, We seek you and the abondance of your wisdom. We find comfort in your message of love the goes beyond time. A message for all generations. We come before you to find your grace in hard time. To learn from lessons old of your people and to find comfort in the peace you offer us now. That we all be enabled to learn and grow closer as a community of faith. This we pray in your dear name. We see the beauty of your flowery spring, the warmth of your summer, the plentiful harvest in the fall, and the rest of winter.
