Daily Prayers for August 10th, 2022

Prayer of Confession:

Merciful God, there are times when we know we could share our blessings of abundance but don't. We fear losing. We worry about a possible future without plenty. We may feel good helping those in need but feel such same imagining how we would feel on the other side. We are people of merit and hard work. Yet we refuse to see the true heart of compaction. Fail to see the true blessing in the offering, to live in true love you have called all our children to share out of your abundance and blessings. Help us learn to receive what is good, share with a heart, and love your good always so our souls may not hunger so. Amen. 

 

 

Prayer of Illumination:

             Amazing God, how deep is the well of your word? The very word that springs life in the desert of our souls. Your word that has stilled a raging sea. Like deer who come panting for water, We come with a thirst for your truth that we may have new strength to stand and thrive in the life you have called us to live. Fill us, O' lord, that your word like the roar of the seas may be known and lived. This we pray in your holy name. Amen. 

 

Prayer of Thanksgiving:

            Gracious God, we thank you for the life-giving waters you provide to us. That even out of a stone, your mercy like water may flow. We pray that we may give back with our lives a fragment of the blessings for the grace you have bestowed. We pray that the like you shine in our lives may be magnified in the life of your creation. Like a dew drop shares the light that shines on it, its colors are bold and beautiful. Thank you, Lord God, for all that you do. Amen.

 

Because I was confused, I prayed:

God, help me make some sense of this mess before me.

Amen.

Prayer of Illumination: Lord God of Compassion, We seek you and the abondance of your wisdom. We find comfort in your message of love the goes beyond time. A message for all generations. We come before you to find your grace in hard time. To learn from lessons old of your people and to find comfort in the peace you offer us now. That we all be enabled to learn and grow closer as a community of faith. This we pray in your dear name. Amen.   Prayer of Thanksgiving: Lord God of Assurance, We are thankful for your grace during every season. We see the beauty of your flowery spring, the warmth of your summer, the plentiful harvest in the fall, and the rest of winter. So to do we give you thanks for the comfort you offer each one of us in every season of our lives. From the gift of new life and new opportunities, to the lose we feel. We give you thanks for the good you do and the mercy you give to us out of love. May we continue to share that love with one another. Amen.
