Daily Prayers August 14th, 2022

Prayer of Adoration:

            God of Wonder, we can find something new to learn each day. Like children the life you have created is full of marvels never ending. You encourage us to be like the little children who came to you. And like them you promise us hope to someday see the Kingdom of God in our world. Lord, we give thanks for the blessing and welcoming love you give us as we grow alongside your Holy Spirit each day. Amen.

 


Prayer of Confession: 

            Loving God, we confess we have been reluctant children. We want to do things our way and not consider what good plans you have for us. We like to think that we know what is best but fall short of considering how our words and actions affect others. Lord, we also refuse to try good new experiences you place in our lives. Opportunities to learn and grow but we can be petrified to try. God, we ask for your forgiveness and hope that we may be able to grow as your children and live into the life you have planned for us. Amen.

Prayer of Illumination: Lord God of Compassion, We seek you and the abondance of your wisdom. We find comfort in your message of love the goes beyond time. A message for all generations. We come before you to find your grace in hard time. To learn from lessons old of your people and to find comfort in the peace you offer us now. That we all be enabled to learn and grow closer as a community of faith. This we pray in your dear name. Amen.   Prayer of Thanksgiving: Lord God of Assurance, We are thankful for your grace during every season. We see the beauty of your flowery spring, the warmth of your summer, the plentiful harvest in the fall, and the rest of winter. So to do we give you thanks for the comfort you offer each one of us in every season of our lives. From the gift of new life and new opportunities, to the lose we feel.
