Daily prayers for July 30th, 2022
Prayer of Adoration:
Lord of my heart, let my soul rest with you. For nothing in this world steels the restlessness of my mind. No kind word fills me and grows me quite like your words and your silents. You are the storm when my lethargy is great. You are the eye of the storm when I wonder if the demands of moving, working, and wondering become too much. My confer and proper rest for my soul is with you. For I can be a storm with my feelings and words. You steady me by being you and loving me through it all. When I as steel and unmoved like a pond with scum, You make the waters move by your very breath of life. My soul thanks you deeply, my God, for the rest deemed enough and safe in you. Amen.
Prayer of Confession:
Lord God, the prayers in my heart feel hallow compared to my prayers and the prayer I mean to say. My tough is steal. My work can only present so much of what is in my heart. I feel limited in my being to live in or up to what you desire for me. My words feel as if they can only reflect me and barely a spider's thread of your light. Lament is the song I sing before praise and thanksgiving. Though you have given every reason to be rightly praised, not one word truly comes to my mouth. Father, forgive me in this lacing heart of prayer to pray some days. I do desire to seek your good and be filled and reminded of the reasons to give you thanks. In your holy name, I pray. Amen.
Prayer of Thanksgiving:
Lord God, you offer us the gift we know and that we do not see as valuable until they become so dear and limited to us. You give us time that we may be met with opportunities to love, live, learn, grow, and be transformed with you and our fellow creation. You give us gifts of talents similar and different and natures as unique as the individual who embraces the talent offered to them by you. You also blessed us with gifts that sustain the basic needs of our lives. You show us opportunities to share in that abundance that made her basic needs survive and opportunities to thrive. May this time and every chance from this moment forward, our hearts be filled with gratitude for giving her the gifts you have given us. It's a way in which we may demonstrate our things and live the life of faith in what you called each of us. Help us continue to show the love that you have for your creation each day. I made these gifts we offer now be used to further your work. Amen
