Daily prayers for July 29th, 2022

Prayer of Adoration:

            Incredible God, you sustain us in many ways. When we are lonely, you offer us a community where we might have opportunities to learn from lives different from our own. And live with those who have walked a similar road and empathize with where we are. When we are hungry, you feed us through ways we expect and ways we don't expect. When we hurt, Lord God, we can find rest in your love and care in our arms. When we mourn God, we can find comfort in your care. Assurance in your mystery that though our world might change, you are constant and just with us. You do not neglect us, though we may feel alone and forgotten. We give you our thanks full of heart that you are the Lord God that you are. Mighty and Awesome with love so deep for each one of us. Amen.

 

 

Prayer of Confession:

Dear God, we are children full of fear. We fear the things and moments we cannot control. We fear responsibility because we feel that the expectation of the work is too great for us. We fear that we may let others down. We worry about relationships with others because of how easy it feels like we could do or say the wrong things and the worst times. We are not as present with those we care for as we feel we should be. We often lie to make a conversation easier or more palpable to have with others than the work that comes from telling the truth. By doing so, we don't show our true selves to them. Nor do we show others the true wonder of life you have created us to be. Forgive us, our Lord of love and mercy, for letting ourselves get consumed by fear when we should look for the lesson the fear is telling me. The lesson we should learn is to trust you. The lesson of learning to trust in others. And the lesson of accepting ourselves the way we are and who we are encouraged to be by your love. Amen.


I apologies for the delay. I guess that means that we can get two days worth of prayers in one day. :)

Prayer of Illumination: Lord God of Compassion, We seek you and the abondance of your wisdom. We find comfort in your message of love the goes beyond time. A message for all generations. We come before you to find your grace in hard time. To learn from lessons old of your people and to find comfort in the peace you offer us now. That we all be enabled to learn and grow closer as a community of faith. This we pray in your dear name. Amen.   Prayer of Thanksgiving: Lord God of Assurance, We are thankful for your grace during every season. We see the beauty of your flowery spring, the warmth of your summer, the plentiful harvest in the fall, and the rest of winter. So to do we give you thanks for the comfort you offer each one of us in every season of our lives. From the gift of new life and new opportunities, to the lose we feel. We give you thanks for the good you do and the mercy you give to us out of love. May we continue to share that love with one another. Amen.

Prayer of Thanksgiving:             God who welcomes us home, you care for us with hands wide open every day. You ensure that we have what we need. When we lack anything you send your people to help ensure that your love and care is always being provided.
